There are a lot of stories regarding lost pets… and of course stories about pets returning to owners after several years of missing, but the number one problem of pet owners is that even though their dog or cat look like their lost pet they are not sure whether it’s their dog or not, sometimes they don’t a way to identify it by facial characteristics or its vital statistics.
Or if someone lost their dog still it is hard to recognize it if the dog is owned by the owner or not, yes the dog already do have a tag for recognition or a micro-chip embedded but it’s good sometimes to have more information that you can compare from the missing dog or cat, the PiP app do have a facial recognition features that report or easily find lost pets.
The app is good as it claims that it can recognize 98 percent of dog and cats by analyzing also their breed, size, weight and colors or gender. The app is good especially for the pet owners as this is the main problems that pet owners always encounter, losing your pet is like losing a friend, and finding them is sometimes a gruesome task even though the pet already do have a tag, with the PiP app this is somewhat solved, it has facial recognition system that will try to match the lost dog in the list of found dogs.
The app also do have an “Amber Alert” that will announced and scan social media for lost pet, so finding your pet do have a huge chance, the users of the app will also receive ambert alert to inform them that you lost a dog or cat. The PiP app according to the company will be available for iPhone in Apple App Store in Fall 2013
PiP stands for “Positive Identification of Pet” and refers to the positive match determined by our facial recognition technology between a photo of a registered pet and a photo of a found pet uploaded into our system.
