Anti-Selfie Bill now in its third reading in Philippine congress, the bill proposed by some representatives is about protection against Personal Intrusion Act, the act is to protect the individuals who don’t want their photos taken including public officials, “intrusion of personal privacy” this is the main topic on the House Bill 4807. So guys be careful in taking selfies and photos of people or any public places as you might get sued by someone, especially politicians.
If this bill passed it will be dangerous for the people to take photos especially public figures as you might be civilly liable to the offended party. The House Bill 4807 or the Protection against Personal Intrusion Act is now up for 3rd reading in plenary.
According to HB 4807, the following acts are considered an intrusion into the personal privacy of another and shall be presumed to have been committed with the intent to gain or profit.
