Due to Typhoon Mario that changed its trajectory, that now hit the main island of Luzon, the whole metro manila and neighboring provinces experienced heavy rain fall and flooding, the Marikina river is already in high alert, other streets in Quezon city and other parts of metro manila is now in deep water, due to this, the LGU’s of different provinces and cities declared no classes today September 19, 2014.
NDRRMC, has suspended classes in all levels, public and private. The following areas are covered by the suspension:
1. Metro Manila
6. Nueva Ecija
12. Quezon, including Polillo Island,
13. Mindoro Provinces
14. Camarines Norte
Meanwhile the Typhoon Mario is now 576 km east of Infanta, Quezon (14.9°N, 127.0°E) packed with maximum winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph. It is expected to be in the Philippine Area of Responsibility until Sunday afternoon, it is expected to be at 421 km north-northeast of Basco, Batanes. As of today 15 areas are under the storm signal.
UPDATE:Due to flooding according to the report all of the schools private or public, the classes is still suspended
